AP Music Theory Details

If you're wanting to take the AP Music Theory exam in the spring, you'll need to contact your local public high school as soon as possible to find out if they'll be administering the exam. If not, find the closest location that is and contact them. Then, find out how to get registered for the exam through that school. If they won't let you, keep searching for a school that will. Have your parents advocate for you! The coordinator will order the exam, collect your exam fee and tell you when and where to arrive for the test and what to bring. AP exams are administered on a specific schedule every year. If you can't take the test on the scheduled date, be sure to contact your AP coordinator to find out if alternate testing options are available.

**The course here at MIOH+ is NOT an official AP Music Theory course, and Gena Mayo is NOT a certified AP instructor. Therefore, it's possible that the exam administrator won't let you take the test unless you are registered in their class. That's why you need to contact them as soon as possible.
