The LIVE Music Lesson

The Music Appreciation/Composer Study Lesson is Inside the Music of a Magical Broadway Hit with composer Stephen Schwartz on April 15, 2026 at noon CT

Stephen Schwartz is an American composer and lyricist known for his work in musical theatre. Over a career spanning more than fifty years, he has created several popular musicals, including Godspell, Pippin, and Wicked.

Each month, I create and teach a brand new music appreciation lesson, usually focused on a composer! We learn about various musical concepts related to composition, music theory, style, music history, and much more. The class is interactive, so students can ask and answer questions.

You receive

  • a printable pack to guide us through the interactive music appreciation lesson
  • a 30-minute LIVE class (through Zoom)
  • Spotify playlist of the music we're listening to, so you can listen more on your own
  • Replays of the class in video and audio formats are available for one year
