Do you have a young child who wants to play songs on a piano keyboard right away? The KinderBach Hymns songbook helps eager students get started playing familiar tunes immediately.
Using a combination of the KinderBach step music reading method and playing by ear, the student can play songs he/she knows and loves with very little instruction.


The KinderBach Hymns are in PDF format so that you can print only the songs your little pianist is working on. They can mark or circle parts, sticker the beginning and the end, or color the pages, whatever they need to do. You can print the pages as many times as you need to.


The KinderBach Hymns come with accompaniment MP3 tracks by June Sawatzky. The audio music has demonstration and performance tracks for practice and performance of your child’s chosen songs. The songs are about 1 minute long, perfect for short attention spans, and yet they highlight the most familiar parts of the melody.

6 Steps for KinderBach Hymns Success:
1. Let your child hear, sing and move or dance to the songs several times before going to the piano.
2. Make sure your child knows the note characters for the chosen keyboard song and can locate them easily on the piano.
3. Play through the music without the accompaniment until your child is comfortable.
4. Practice the rhythm on a rhythm instrument with the demonstration accompaniment tracks.
5. Play the music with your child in a different octave. Modeling is very affirming!
6. Lay a foundation for enjoyment. Make music time a happy time!
