(No longer available for sale. Stay tuned because Gena will teach the workshop again sometime!)
Homeschool mom, are you struggling with including music in your homeschool since you don't know much about music yourself? Do you wish you had learned how to read music or at least could tell the difference between a clarinet and an oboe? Is it frustrating that you can't answer the basic music questions your kids ask you related to their new piano piece or a song they hear on the radio?
Then, you are going to LOVE the brand new Music 101 for Homeschool Moms Workshop coming in July 2022!
Get the basics of music so you’ll feel more confident helping your kids learn this subject this year!
Each day’s class will be 30 minutes long, plus Q&A time, for a max of an hour.
Included is a workbook that you can share with your kids to help them learn, too!
Day 1: July 27, 2022
Learn the basics of reading music. You’ll get a jump-start on music note names, rhythms, and time signatures, as well as other music symbols and terms! Understand how music is put together and what a person needs to know in order to read music at first sight.
Day 2: July 28, 2022
Today we’ll get an overview of music history from the Middle Ages (450 A.D.) through modern times. Learn about the eras of music history as well as the most famous composers and musical pieces from each time period. We’ll listen to some of the music and also talk about the new musical advances that occurred in each era.
Day 3: July 29, 2022
Get a basic knowledge of musical instruments, the five families of instruments, special instruments that are unique to particular countries and areas of the world, and which instruments are played for different genres or styles of music!
BONUS! Day 4: July 30, 2022
I ran out of time to teach about Modern Music History (1900-present day) on Day 2, so we'll have a bonus session!
The Music 101 for Homeschool Moms Workshop includes a printable workbook so homeschool moms can take notes and even share the information with their kids later on!
Attend live if you can so you can interact with instructor Gena Mayo, get all your questions answered during the Q&A time, and be able to get the special bonus of the day!
The workshops are presented through Zoom each day at 1pm CT, but they will be uploaded to the course portal as soon as possible so that you may watch the replay. You’ll have lifetime access so you can review as often as you’d like!
We will also have a pop-up Facebook group that will be open before, during, and a few days after the Music 101 for Homeschool Moms Workshop so you can get more answers to your questions!
