How to use the Copywork

Learning about an artist and seeing their work is an interesting and often delightful journey. Getting to hear their voice in our minds as we read their own comments and insights about art adds another valuable layer and helps bring the actual personhood of the artist to life.

Though there are just a few artists with recorded comments about art from the Renaissance time period, I believe we can learn and gain insight and appreciation from the quotes that we have gathered here. The comments about the interconnectedness of other forms of art and learning are especially apt for homeschool families.
