"I’m so excited for this new course ~ American Music for Elementary! I have a music background and taught elementary music for several years. I would have loved to have such a lesson list like this to use! I have purchased several of Gena’s courses and use them all in our homeschool. The composers, genres, and history are perfect for elementary age.
I will be using this course with my 7th grader, who loves the lessons but not the regular music classroom fare I tried to use before I discovered Gena’s courses. It will give him a great music background without going old school (one composer a month and long studies on a few pieces of music) and we can go deeper where needed.
If you are looking for music theory, this is not the course for you. She provides some print-outs that allow you to decide what your students can do. As always, you can supplement or change things up!
These are some exciting lessons to enhance any homeschool curriculum. Easy to use, fun, quick, and a definite music course to count if you have to document/ count hours in your homeschool. I am so excited to share this course with him!"
