Regine Wieniawski

Régine Wieniawski (1879-1932) was a British composer and pianist. Her father was a violinist, and her mother was the niece of an Irish composer and pianist. Regine was performing her own compositions at the age of 14.

Regine published her works under many different names, titles, and nicknames, due to publishing before and after her marriage. Her name appears on her work as:

You'd think that with so many names it would be easy to find her music. Unfortunately, it is not. We just have one piece of her work to listen to today. This song was written after the death of her firstborn child when he was only 2.
