2024 Live Monthly Art Lesson Schedule

Each month we will do a live art lesson together! Through Zoom I'll demonstrate the painting. You'll receive a tracer below that can also be used as a coloring sheet for younger students!

Supplies needed for the summer projects (May - August 2024):

See my Amazon art store here.

  • 8x10 canvas for each project
  • acrylic paints (or washable paints or any other media you'd like to use such as crayons, colored pencils, markers, oil or chalk pastels, or watercolors) (I'll give you a list of paint colors, but you can use whatever you have!)
  • paint brushes (Get a variety pack and you should have everything you need!)
  • graphite or carbon paper and dull pencil to trace
  • print-outs of the reference photo(s), instructions, and tracer (see below)
  • water cup, baby wipes, table cloth, smock, paper towels, paper plate for palette

What ages are these lessons for?

The target age is upper elementary through high school. But, younger kids can do it, especially if you have them use a different medium than acrylic paints and the tracers as "coloring pages". (See options above.)

How long will the lessons take?

My goal is one hour, which means I might be moving a bit too fast for many students. If you have a student who will be frustrated, feel rushed, feel behind, etc., it might be better to do the painting during the replay when you can stop and start the video. Or, watch along with me as I demonstrate live, and then paint during the replay!

Can you do the paintings before I teach them each month?

Yes! Use the instructions included below and do the painting on your own if you'd like to. (If you don't see instructions yet, they'll be posted soon.)

**Dates and times are subject to change. Zoom link will be posted the week before the live lesson.
